I picked up a used TVS Apache RTR 160 4v Used from Olx,
On my way to Tarkarli Beach, the engine bearing gave up, and the bike seized —
right in front of a service center (praise God for that!).
My beach plan was gone, and instead, I spent three days in Chiplun, running around and fixing the bike.
At the time, I thought buying a used bike was smarter — why pour all that money into a new one? The Apache was fun to ride… until one trip changed everything.
I was stuck with a tough choice: abandon the bike and continue my journey, or wait it out. In the end, I came back home after spending more than ₹15,000 on repairs. And that’s when I realized — my will to ride this Apache was gone.
The TVS Chiplun guys did get it running after three days of brainstorming, and I set off on my 7-hour ride home. But about 150 km before reaching, fuel started overflowing and dripping onto the engine. I stopped, frustrated, thinking, Oh no, not another problem!
I was stranded in the middle of nowhere with my son, wondering how I’d even find a mechanic. By God’s grace, a man stopped and asked if we were on a bike trip. He was inspired to see me riding with my son, and after a short chat, he offered to help. Turns out he was a hairdresser from Powai — God bless his heart.
He rode off to look for a mechanic, and though I was skeptical (it was a holiday and most shops were shut), a few others stopped and helped. Eventually, we found the issue: a tiny pin in the carburetor that was supposed to stop fuel overflow.
That was the last straw. TVS customer service didn’t help either. I had to chase them on Instagram, but unless you’re a big influencer, they don’t care. That’s when I made up my mind — never be loyal to a brand. Be loyal to a good deal.
So, I moved on. Enter the Pulsar N250 in Glossy Racing Red. Funny enough, I didn’t even test ride it — I trusted my friend Sam in Hyderabad,
booked it, and paid in full cash (₹1,80,000). Added PPF for ₹11,000, and just like that, I had a new companion.

I know this video isn’t perfect. I know I’ve been away for 2 years. But making this video, even with all its imperfections, is my way to move forward. I don’t care about views or numbers — this is about improving one step at a time. Looking back at my 45 videos, each one brought me joy. This one is no different.
