15 Feb 2020, As I was already at the ISUZU showroom at Navi Mumbai. My eyes came across the Isuzu mu- X, ( mu-X strangely stands for mysterious utility – eXtreme ) this the only model sold by Isuzu in India. Starting price tag of 33 lakhs at the showroom and going up to 36 lakhs
Mu-X comes in two variant 2 wheel drive & 4 wheel drive options both come in the automatic variants. They come with the tough competition with Industry leaders like Toyota Fortuner and ford endeavour. Quite Frankly speaking I was not too impressed by the design elements. It seems at this price point their competitors are well ahead of them. I am looking forward to the 2020 model which will come with BS-VI engines. Let's keep our fingers crossed. they have scheduled to release in May 2020. But due to pandemic hit across the launch of this vehicle might be delayed. In India, we get the preface lift design which is a combination of the V cross design from the front and Chevrolet trailblazer from the rear end.
Once the BS-VI variants are out, I might be able to give a more in-depth analysis of this vehicle. The technical specification is as follows, It comes with engine Displacement of 299 cc. Max power of 174.57bhp@3600rpm and max torque of 380NM@1800-2800rpm. The ARAI Mileage is 13.8 kmpl and comes in only diesel option.
