Isuzu Motors India Private Limited is a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan was established in August 2012 in India having its manufacturing plant in Sri City, Chittor district, Andhra Pradesh 55km away from Chennai. Head Corporate office present in vadapalani, Chennai. Isuzu currently sells a range of Isuzu D-Max pick-up trucks that includes variants like Regular Cab Flat Deck and S-CAB. Isuzu also sells the MU-X, a large-sized Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) in an automatic transmission in India. Both vehicle models are available through Isuzu's exclusive dealer outlets.
Pick-up trucks also are known to be utilitarian vehicles, but unfortunately, the market in India has not been too prevalent before the times of the Isuzu the market leaders where the Mahindra Imperio, Bolero pick up. since the entry of Isuzu D Max V cross launched in India around 2017 and expecting the 3rd generation to be launched in mid of 2020. As stated by the company they have stopped production of BS-IV variants and currently gearing to launch the BS-VI variants. What this means that we can expect a considerable price hike up to 4 lakhs from the current price
On 15 Feb 2020, I had visited the Showroom of Isuzu here in Navi Mumbai, but unfortunately, they did not have any vehicles ready for a test drive. This massive machine has an engine displacement of 1999 CC diesel engine which roughly give 12.4 km on the highway with a max power of 147.9bhp and max torque of 350nm@1800-2600 rpm and seating capacity of 5 people. The transmission type is automatic and has 76 litres fuel capacity current norm compliance is BS-IV which is going upgraded to BS-VI variant. the top speed of this utility vehicle is 175 km/h
